Tournament Rules
PARTICIPATION:
Participation is open to all current USBC members. If not a member, entrant may purchase a membership at the time of entry for $21.00.FORMAT:
Lane assignments will be determined by a blind draw for the preliminary rounds of the competition. The lanes for he Stepladder Finals will be determined by the tournament director.Round 1 (Based on 32 entries)
All entrants will bowl a four (4) game series. The field will be cut to the top 16 of the field based upon total pins from the 4 game series. Scores will not be carried forward to the next round of competition (no carry 0ver).Round 2
All remaining participants from Round 1 will then bowl a three (3) game series. The field will be cut to the top seven (7) of the field based upon total pins from the three (3) games series.Round 3
All remaining participants from Round 2 will then bowl one (1) game. The field will be cut to the top 3 scores.Stepladder Finals
Remaining Participants will be seeded according to their Round 3 scores and bowl one (1) game elimination matches to determine who bowls the defending champion.GENERAL PLAYING RULES:
Any ties will be resolved by a 9th and 10th frame roll-off.
Defending King of the Hill winners must bowl the following week's tournament in order to collect any further prize money. In the event that the defending King of the Hill Champion is unable to defend their title, a new King of the Hill will be determined through the stepladder finals that week.
There will be no charge to the defending King of the Hill Champion from the previous week's competition, and will only be required to bowl the final match against that week's challenger.
Number of "Byes", "Methods, of Elimination", etc., will be determined by the tournament director based on the actual number of entrees in order to accomplish workable head to head matches.
All matters not covered by these rules and regulations will be determined by the Tournament Director and all decisions will be final.
The tournament will be conducted in accordance with the general playing rules of the USBC where rules are not specified.
All prize money returned 100%. (Entry Fee - $69.00, Prizes - $46.47, Lineage and Expenses $22.53)
