Singles Tournament
Rules and Format
1. All entrants must be at least 40 years of age as of the tournament date. Entrants may be required to present photo ID to verify age.
2. This event will be USBC Certified. All entrants must be current members of USBC and be able to present membership card at time of check-in.
3. Competition will be conducted in two (2) divisions, handicap and scratch. Bowlers may enter one or both divisions.
a. Handicap will be 90% of 220 with a maximum of 55 pins per game.
b. All handicap division entrants will use their highest 42 game or more local USBC average from the 2006-2007 season. If no 2006-07 USBC average, bowler will use their highest current 42 game or more USBC average. If none, entrance will bowl scratch.
c. For entrants using a current 42 game or more average, it will be the bowler's responsibility to provide average verification at the time of check-in.
d. In the event that the average being used is not local (NCAUSBCA) 2006-2007 USBC average, entrant must provide verification of average at time of registration. Failure to provide average verification will be cause for prize money to be withheld pending such verification.
e. All current professional members must bowl scratch.
4. It will be the bowlers' responsibility to report earnings of $600.00 or more from the last 12 months and face a possible re-rating.
5. Tournament director reserves the right to re-rate or refuse any entry.
6. Entry fee will be $55.00 for one division or $93.00 (total) for both. ($18.00 lineage/expenses, $37.00 prize fund). Prize fund will be returned 100%.
7. Format: all entrants will bowl 4 games across 8 lanes. High 4 game totals, plus handicap in appropriate division, will determine winners.
8. All situations not covered by above rules will be referred to current USBC rule book. If not covered by USBC, Tournament Director decision will be final.
9. Tournament staff requests that all bowlers follow the one (1) lane courtesy procedure to help us meet our time commitments.
