TOURNAMENT RULES

1. Eligibility-All 2007-2008 members who are certified by USBC.

2. Entry closing date: All entries must be fully paid and filled with the Tournament Director by Friday August 12, 2008 or the first 64 Women.

3. Entry Fee - $85. All entries must be accompanied by certified check or money order.
(NO PERSONAL CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED). There will be no refund for no-shows.
Will take Walk-Ins if space is available.

4. Tournament Format:    A. All entries will bowl two (2) four (4) game blocks. B. Field will be cut in half based on total pin fall for eight (8) games. These bowlers will then bowl a four (4) game block. C. The field is then cut to 12 bowlers.   These bowlers will then bowl a three (3) game block. D. The top five (5) bowlers will be determined by the total pin fall for fifteen 15 games. These bowlers will play stair-step matches starting with the fifth (5^th) place bowler, playing the fourth (4^th) place bowler, and etc. E. Each match will be bowled on a different pair of lanes.

5. In case of a tie for first place, there will be a two (2) frame roll-off to break the tie.    In the event of a tie determining the bowlers for any cut, those involved will bowl a tenth frame roll-off to determine who shall advance to the next round. All other ties will result in a split of the prize money for all positions represented.

6. ALTERNATE BOWLER- When an alternate bowler enters the tournament, the bowler that is being replaced cannot return in this tournament. The alternate assumes the Score of the bowler she is replacing, minus one hundred (100) pins.

7. No USBC cards may be purchased at the site. All bowlers must show proof of sanction in USBC before bowling.

8. Entrants shall wear suitable bowling attire. All entrants are asked to wear SHIRTS WITH THEIR NAMES ON BACK. LADIES, Walking Shorts and Skirts    MUST BE NO HIGHER THAN FOUR (4) INCHES ABOVE THE KNEES. Headgear and Blue Jeans WILL NOT be allowed. Bowlers not adhering to these rules will Not be allowed to bowl.

9. PWBA members regardless of classification and past PWBA Champions will not be permitted to bowl in this tournament. However, past members of the PWBA who have not been a card carrying member for the past five (5) years are eligible to bowl in this tournament.

10 Prize fund will be paid 100%. Prize ratio will be at least one (1) prize for every eight (8) entries.

11. All rules not stated above will be governed by USBC rules.

12 The Atlanta Ladies Classic Tournament Committee will make all decisions and reserves the right to refuse or reject any entry.

13. Premature termination of the tournament brought about by war, national emergency or emergency causes relating thereto or there from fire, natural disaster, or any other reason beyond the control of the Atlanta Ladies Single Classic Tournament shall cause, to the extent required thereby, all advertised prizes, guaranteed or otherwise, to be prorated in accordance to the number of entrants who have bowled in each of the respective events up to the time of such termination.
